A Nigerian lady took to social media to share a heartwarming story about a heavily pregnant woman who unexpectedly gave birth on the streets of Oshodi.
In her post on X (formerly Twitter), she recounted how the woman, unaware that it was time to deliver, suddenly found herself unable to move.
As the situation unfolded, nearby women quickly rallied together to form a protective circle with their wrappers, assisting the woman in delivering her baby.
Once the baby was born, one of the market vendors, who owned a large store, stepped in to help.
She brought the new mother inside her store so that the father could gather essential items for their baby.
The poster expressed her emotions: “You guys, a woman gave birth in Oshodi. She didn’t know it was time. She said she couldn’t move anymore, and women rallied around to create a circle and delivered the baby. The shouting and jubilation were overwhelming. My heart was so full.”
She continued, “They immediately dressed her in new clothes, and the woman who owns a big baby store carried her inside so the father could get what the child needed. Other women followed them. It was so awesome.”
As this touching story spread online, many users flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts and reactions.
